Instagram // Lately.

Life lately around here has been fairly low key. I haven't been feeling great and we have spent most of this week cleaning the condo.

Visit from the Parents = Cleaning.

Tomorrow, the boyfriends parents are coming to visit for a few days. We live in their condo, so we have spent the past few days cleaning like crazy. Even though I moved into the condo in August, we still have lots of organizing and cleaning to do. Between the two of us, we have too much stuff.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

He and I.

IMG_0114

I have been really bad at sharing photos lately, I'm sorry.

In my last couple of posts, I have mentioned my boyfriend, D. The above photo of he and I was taken last summer by his sister.

On a side note, I don't think I have mentioned this before, both his sister and I have the same first name, Chelsea. As well, both our mom's have the same first name, Donna, and both their middle names start with the letter L.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

No more excuses.

Earlier this week, Chelsea over at Yours Truly posted about this 30 Day Shred challenge. Her post both intrigued and motivated me. I quickly got my hands onto the three videos and started this challenge on Tuesday night.

What is the 30 Day Shred? Well, it consists of three 20-minute workouts, each of which features, in rapid succession, short bursts of strength, cardio and abs, and a cool-down.

Sound easy, right? Think again...!

I felt pretty good afterwards, but the next day, oh my goodness, I was in pain. Every possible muscle in my body hurt. I didn't want to take a day off, but I had no choice but to relax on Wednesday. Today, was my attempt at day two. Muscles were still fairly sore, but I gave it my best.

There is talk of going somewhere tropical this winter for Christmas so I have about three months to get my butt into shape!! Wish me luck!

Shoppings + Security Tags.

I love buying new clothes, who doesn't?! What I don't love is getting home to discover that the sales lady forgot to take off the security tag...

Has this ever happened to you? Have you tried to take the tag off?

This is the second time its happened to me. There are lots of youtube videos on how to get these tags off, but I am personally worried about ruining my new sweater, especially if there is this dye they talk about inside of the tags. On the bright side, while I was making my purchase, I mentioned that I already owned a few of the same tanks tops but had to purchase some new ones because my original ones have holes in them. She told me that they shouldn't and if I found my receipt, to bring them back.

I am a little skeptical that they will allow me to exchange them, but I will have to wait and see.

Friday's Letters.

Dear headache, I really dislike you..! I do not enjoy waking up with you, and I definitely do not enjoy going to bed with you. You stuck around for over 12 hours, not cool. Dear fresh salmon, You were very tasty for dinner last night, thank you! However, I was not very fond of cutting your tail off, it was slippery and felt funny. I'm sorry. Dear work, Thanks for the recognition today, I really really appreciate it! Dear boyfriend, I love you lots and lots. But I'm still not pleased with your comments the other day. Life is too short to wake up one morning with regrets; rather than being stubborn and digging our (your) heals in, we should continue moving forward and enjoying life the best we can, together! Dear Apple, Thank you for releasing the new iPhone. It looks quite lovely. I am a little disappointed that the camera wasn't improved a little more, but I am sure it will be quite lovely. I look forward to hopefully getting my hands on one in a few weeks.

Add a Kick to Your Water.

It is recommended that we are supposed to drink 8 glasses of water every day. I personally find plain water to be very boring and tasteless, and therefore do not drink anywhere close to the recommended amount, per day. *On a side note, and I am not really sure why, but if I put my water into a water bottle, I will drink it, but if its in a regular cup, I don't like the taste. Its weird right?!!

In an effort to try and improve my overall health, I would like reduce my intake of soda pop and increase my intake of H20. As an alternative to drinking plain water, a close friend suggested adding fruit to my water. What a great idea! I know during the summer I enjoy adding fresh lemon slices to my water, but never really thought much about adding oranges, pineapple, strawberries or raspberries.

The easiest way to do this is to purchase some frozen bags of pre-cut fruit and add a few pieces into your water, just like you would with ice cubes. I think this is great because it gives your water a little fruity kick, and its healthy! It's a win-win solution!

Have you ever tried this? What's your favorite fruit to put in water?

Really!?! Somebody ate my lunch...

Have you ever brought your lunch to work and someone else ate/stole it? And if so, what did you do? At one of my part-time jobs, there is a galley and we can order food for our lunches.

On Saturday, I ordered some pasta Alfredo with grilled chicken, my favorite item on the menu. I will admit that I meant to take the leftovers home with me, but I forgot. When I realized I forgot them in the fridge, I figured it would be okay because a) I wrote my name on the container, and b) I could eat it for lunch on Monday.

Because the galley is closed on Monday's, I normally bring my own lunch. There are supposed to be leftovers from Sunday night dinner, but sometimes there aren't any.

Fast forward to this morning ... the first thing I did was look in the fridge to find my container. Looking, looking, looking ... my lunch is gone! Seriously?! I am not impressed, not one bit. I headed down to the office and mentioned it to my co-worker -- he said its happened to him before as well. I have a fairly good idea who may have eaten my food, but am not certain.

Later this afternoon, I discovered some left-over apple pie hidden in one of the side fridges. I knew it was hidden because this side fridge is not where left-overs are kept. I figured this same person who ate my lunch, hid the apple pie so they could eat it during their night shift.

Since the leftovers are meant for all the staff members to share, I made a point of letting my co-workers know about this pie and shared it with all of them.

Monday Motivation.

Window Shopping.

Now that all the stores have started to bring in their fall pieces, I can't help but browse. The above cardigan is from Roxy and I absolutely adore it. Its the perfect cardigan with a pear of tights or skinny jeans. Unfortunately, it comes in three of my favorite colors - natural, black and hot lava - which means I may have to purchase them all.

Ever Feel Like You're In the Wrong Place?

Yes, I do feel like I am in the wrong place.

Last night, I was lying in bed thinking of new blog name ideas. I wanted something other than just my name. Maybe something a little more anonymous, I'm not sure.

"Life Unpublished" is something I thought of a few years back when I first started playing around with wordpress. After much debate with my good friend, I decided to take the plunge and get a proper URL for my blog. So, my new blog URL is www.lifeunpublished.com.

I processed the payment this evening and when I visit the URL, this is what I get (see image above). Sigh. I suspect it will take 24 hours to work properly, I hope. I purchased the domain name through Blogger to avoid any complications.

I notice that when I click on my blog image, I am redirected to the 404 page. However, my "home" link still works properly.

I am hoping that I will wake up in the morning and everything will work perfectly. Fingers crossed!

Has anybody else experienced this issue? Help!

Update: It magically works! Woohoo!

I Have Reached Triple-Digits..!

I reached 100 followers on GFC today (now 104)!!!

I was at work when I realized I had reached triple-digits; needless to say I was super excited! Thank you to everyone who has stopped by and followed my blog, I really, really appreciate it!

I also wanted to give a special shout-out to my 100th follower, Meg from You're Meagan Me Crazy. If you're not already following her, head on over and say hello!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

10 Day Challenge // 7 Wants.

1. A new vehicle. I love my Toyota Rav4, but I would like a newer model, maybe a 2012 or 2013.

IMG_0029
2. A new job that pays A LOT more money. I like money and want more of it so I am not so frugal all the time.

3. More motivation to get healthier and in shape.

4. A vacation to somewhere warm, preferably Hawaii. A two-week vacation would be lovely.

IMG_3682

5. To get engaged, married and start a family. I have no set time line for this to happen, it will happen when its meant to, but its definitely something I want!

6. Travel around Europe for a few months. I have visited Wales before, but would love to explore all over.

7. I would love to be able to purchase our own home. Unfortunately we are in the middle of a housing bubble and prices are ridiculously high. Until the bubble pops and we go into another recession, there is no way my boyfriend and I could afford to buy a home, or an apartment in our hometown.

Goodbye Summer.

My goodness, I cannot believe its September already. The temperature here has already started to change. Its still sunny, but there is a definite cool breeze in the air.

All in all, August was pretty great, but it could have been better. My main complaint was the weather. We had a few days, maybe even a week or two, that were smoking hot; but the rest of the time, the weather wasn't the greatest. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrible, I just wish the sunny and warm weather had stuck around for longer!

My biggest regret this summer is not making it down to the beach and going swimming. I really wanted to go swimming!

114-edit

The best part of the month was that I finally moved in with my boyfriend. I loving living with him and am so happy that we've taken this next step in our relationship.
